Dave Dunn, President and founder of Samarak Business Services, has had extensive financial management and human resources experience in both the profit and not-for-profit fields. Dave founded Samarak to bring financial management and expertise to small businesses that can’t afford to hire a full-time CFO.
Dave has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Summit Software Company, an international software company located in Jamesville, NY, which sells its own software and works closely with Microsoft, since 1997. At Summit, where Dave is now employed on a part-time basis, Dave manages the finances, operations and human resources for Summit’s US offices and two European subsidiaries.
Dave gained firsthand knowledge of the needs of the non-profit world while working for agencies in Utica, NY. In addition, Dave currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Montessori School of Syracuse and on the Board of Enable, which provides individualized services to children and adults with disabilities.
Dave received his Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College and his MBA from Syracuse University. He is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, a Microsoft Office Specialist Expert with expertise in Microsoft Excel and a Certified Bookkeeper.
